So I signed up for the free weekend to try it and was hoping to say hi to some Facerollers during that time, but in all the several threads about it none of you have posted your character names and /who doesn't show guild...

So Kistia the Inquisitor will be running around at least until Sunday.  When I'm not playing D3.

Being one of those (few?) who's still playing WoW, I got D3 with the one-year sub deal.  Been in beta, too; looks like fun (will be my first diablo game).  My battletag is xallanthia1715

I know this is old but Genne this made me choke on dinner.

I don't have the time or cash for SWTOR yet, plus I'm not into early adoption (I want to hear about the endgame first).  But if the game and y'all are still going strong in 6 months to a year, I'll be checking it out.

If any of you are still playing WoW, Kistia is now Iseulde of Mal'Ganis.  My other kids are still on KT.

I was invited to beta this weekend and my internet is in the crapper (running like a 56k modem... no joke.  yes, we're working on it).  But in any case I won't be on SWTOR for a while, probably.

Miss you all something fierce, though.  I'm raiding with a very successful guild now (when my net is not Teh Suck) but it doesn't have the friendly feel :(

Kast will almost certainly be playing.  I'll give it a try, probably on his account, before buying.  It all comes down to the endgame; that's all I care about.  I never tried Rift because everyone I asked was disappointed with the endgame...  if I hear good things, I may switch permanently; if not, Azeroth is already home.

Nyt, the server is still active (paid through the end of the year, IIRC) but no one is ever on it.  Pretty much everyone who still plays has moved on to other guilds for the most part.

The CC thing is easier... however on the whole I don't really mind changes that mitigate the effect of retarded PUGs in 5-mans.

Divine Light mana cost has been increased to 35% of base mana, up from 30%.
Flash of Light mana cost has been increased to 31% of base mana, up from 27%.
Holy Light mana cost has been increased to 12% of base mana, up from 10%.

Oh yeah.  So much easier.

>.<

I completely agree.  I was more commenting on how the rep pretended to say something he wasn't supposed to in order to try to get you back.  I will forever consider WoW one of my top favorite games.  I just enjoy not being tied to long raid schedule.

He wasn't lying or saying something he shouldn't... the 28th was patch day, patch 4.2.  The next tier of raids was released as well as a new faction with dailies & rep gear.

There's an email address attached to his forum profile here.  Idk if it's still one he uses, but it's worth trying.

I don't want to make fun of Eagles fans they are handling this pretty well for Philadelphians who I am accustomed to thinking of as the most emotionally volatile of sports fans

also honey the idea that you are even a casual sports fan is adorable you did not even know the Eagles were in the playoffs yesterday until I said something about it

I knew we were going to be in; I didn't know when they were starting.  And I said "at best" which I would not qualify this year as being :P

I saw some stats yesterday that indicated that nearly all raid content is now *easier* in 25s than 10, so get your butts in gear people: 25mans means moar epix faster :P

(the specifics were avg ilvl of players involved in guild first kills--lower in 25s for all but 1 boss)

I thought they changed that so that it just had to be majority guild, for the old stuff?  Rather than needing 30 for a 40man?

can't be reused until your current Lightwell Renew has run its duration.

I can't wait until THIS is a problem...  "I tried to click the lightwell, but I had a Lightwell heal already."  "That's GOOD!"

It seemed that the point of the thread was that they're separating "good" from "bad" :P :)

Remember how you said you wanted that stone dragon as a mount?  Well.... he does indeed drop himself as a mount.  Even on regular.

I saw one today in Deepholm!

Mob tagging in dungeons?  I'm not even sure what that means.

Regardless, things are working.  I was also stuck at work today but I'm about to make some soup and then settle in for some solid leveling time :)

At this time we plan to continue 25man raiding, once enough people reach level 85.  Before that time, we may schedule 10s for those who get there earlier.  We plan to begin scheduling raids in early January, though again, that may happen sooner if enough are ready.

Now I'm sad that I'll be in the car all night and not able to play :(

http://wow.joystiq.com/2010/11/23/patch … tch-notes/

Particular things of interest to me:

Pallies:

# Illuminated Healing absorb shield now absorbs 10% of the total amount healed, up from 8%. Each point of Mastery increases the effect by an additional 1.25%, up from 1%. (someday I'll catch a disc priest.... nah)
# Light of dawn has been redesigned. It no longer has an enforced cooldown, now costs Holy Power instead of mana, and scale in direct proportion to the amount of Holy Power used. In addition it now heals the 5 most injured group targets (including self) in a 30-yard frontal cone. (so much for erasing Infest, but very interesting)

# Holy shield no longer increases chance to block. Instead, it increases the amount blocked by an additional 10%, for a total of 40% damage blocked. (they really don't want us to be avoidance-capped)

Priest:

# Prayer of Healing has had its mana cost reduced by nearly 30% and its base points and Spell Power coefficient increased by 20%. (one-fell-swoop solution to hpriest mana issues?)

# Divine Aegis is now always triggered by Prayer of Healing in addition to critical heals from all other spells.  (ALWAYS? nifty)

Mage:

# Arcane Blast now increases damage of the next Arcane Blast by 10% per stack, down from 20%, reduces cast time by 0.1 seconds per stack, and increases the mana cost by 150%, down from 175%. In addition, the base cast time of Arcane Blast has been lowered to 2.35 seconds. (excellent, long ABs made Arc feel clunky to me).

Also: holy crap warlocks nerfed across the board?!  Except rain of fire, lol.

Aellera looks all calm, waving her hands about...  Kistia though, must get tired, the way she leaps on her toes every time she casts.  And Intereo it's like a whole body motion!
